Industrial Park

Rivergate Industrial District is a Port-owned 2,800-acre industrial park located on Portland´s ocean shipping channel. Terminal 6 is located within the industrial district, making Rivergate a prime site for import distribution warehouse and transload facilities.

Only Portland can offer importers available warehouse space and developable land within sight of a major West Coast container terminal. Rivergate offers immediate access to all forms of transportation that serve regional, national and international markets. Development incentives are available from city and state agencies.

Locating within the Rivergate Industrial District provides:

  • Immediate access to the container complex
  • Reduced drayage expense due to shorter distances to warehouse/deconsolidation points
  • Rail-served sites
  • Foreign Trade Zone status
  • Quick access to interstate highway system and domestic rail ramps
  • Proximity to Portland International Airport air cargo facilities
  • Advantageous tax climate for warehousing/distribution operations relative to other West Coast states
