Mulino Airport Overview

Mulino Airport is located in Clackamas County, about 20 miles southeast of Portland with easy access from Interstate 205 via Highway 213. The airport is sited on 275 acres with a 3,425-foot runway and is home to over 40 light general aviation aircraft (including weekend glider activities) with 34 existing aircraft T-hangars and approximately 25 tie-down spots. Mulino Airport is also home to the Mulino Chapter of the Oregon Pilot Association and its annual fly-in blueberry pancake breakfast. There is an airport cafe located adjacent to the airport on the east side. Other restaurants and lodging are available in Molalla, which is three miles southeast of Mulino.

While the Mulino Airport is owned by the Port of Portland, it is now operated by the Oregon Department of Aviation. This transfer of management responsibility took place on Feb. 1, 2007, as part of a management/transfer agreement between the Port and the state. The agreement allows for the potential transfer of the Mulino Airport to the state of Oregon if certain financial targets are met.

For more information regarding voluntary noise abatement procedures that pilots are encouraged to follow, see the Pilot's Guide.
