PDX Video Contest Winner Announced

PORTLAND, ORE. (April 8, 2009) – “It’s What Super Heroes Do” Takes Top Prize in PDX Video Contest 

 

Bryan Rosenberger and his video “It’s What Super Heroes Do” is the grand prize winner in the Be a Local Super Hero video contest promoting PDX’s nonstop services to Europe and Asia.  More than 1,600 viewers selected the winner from a field of 55 one-minute qualifying video entries through an on-line voting Web site.

 

As the grand prize winner, Rosenberger received four coach tickets to his choice of Amsterdam or Tokyo on Northwest (a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines) or Frankfurt on Lufthansa, plus a pre-loaded credit or debit card with a cash value of $2,000 to cover other travel costs.

 

The two runners up in the contest were Clint Fanney with his video, “I Want to Go to Tokyo” and William Bahrenburg for “Super William.”  Fanney and Bahrenburg each received two coach tickets to their choice of the same destinations offered to the grand prize winner. 

 

The awards were presented on KGW’s Live @ 7 program on April 6 and the winning videos can be all be viewed at www.flypdx.com through April.

 

The Port of Portland worked with KGW TV and The Oregonian on the campaign to build local awareness of the economic impact of the nonstop international services from Portland International Airport.  The services generate $241.5 million in total airport and visitor business revenue to our local economy creating about 2,000 jobs and providing access to global markets for business and leisure travelers.
