That's right; solar energy at work at the airport! We invite you to stop by The Nike Store at PDX, now being powered by solar energy, to see a new display and view the real time solar activity – best viewed during daylight hours.
This exciting project came about when Nike, Delta Air Lines and the Port of Portland joined forces last year to install solar panels on the airport's canopy. Currently, the panels are supplying about 100 percent of the The Nike Store's needs. The display in the store includes a video that illustrates the partnership and solar activity.
We are proud to announce this innovative program, and we hope you will check out The Nike Store next time you're in the airport. You can also view the solar panels from the 7th floor of the parking garage, on the east edge of the glass canopy.Related links:
