Back to Citizen Noise Advisory Committee
The Citizen Noise Advisory Committee (CNAC) meets monthly as the official forum to address community aircraft noise concerns. Local jurisdictions and the Port of Portland appoint the 15-member committee to represent residential concerns.
Organized in 1998, CNAC has been active in noise issues ever since. It is an official advisory committee of the Port of Portland and remains independent on what changes to the noise abatement plan it recommends to the Port.
A summary of each meeting is posted on our Web page. Copies of correspondence or other materials referenced or summarized may be obtained by contacting the Noise Management Office.
