The Port of Portland's mission is to enhance the region's economy and quality of life by providing efficient cargo and air passenger access to national and global markets. In support of this mission, the Port annually undertakes long-term strategic and business planning that identifies strategic areas of focus-and actions to achieve them-as well as the financial resources needed to carry out Port programs and ongoing operations.
