The Port Loves Science Pub!

Don’t miss OMSI Science Pub! This bi-monthly event brings cutting-edge presentations and discussions to Portlanders, with a cold brew on the side. The next OMSI Science Pub will be held at Mission Theater, 1624 NW Glisan, on Tuesday, November 15. The presentation starts at 7:00 p.m., but show up early to secure your seat.

The topic is Blue Revolution: A Water Ethic for America. Presenter Cynthia Barnett will explore our relationship with fresh water, a topic of interest for the Port, which lies in the Columbia Slough watershed and relies on the Willamette and Columbia rivers to connect the region with points around the world. Barnett will focus on conservation – conserving water in Port operating areas is a primary objective of our Water Resources program, so we’re looking forward to the discussion.
