2009-0060 Living Machine® Wastewater System Operator, Port Headquarters Building

Description: The Port of Portland (Port) is soliciting proposals from experienced firms and individuals capable of providing complete operation of the Port's Living Machine® blackwater treatment system (System) within the Port Headquarters (HQ) building. The System is an ecological wastewater system that mimics processes found in wetland environments. The System's patented technology enhances the natural processes with computer and mechanical systems that minimize energy consumption and enable re-use of contaminated water sources into the buildings non-potable water system. The contract resulting from this solicitation process will be for a minimum two year period with an additional 1 year renewal option. The Operator must hold a valid certificate issued by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality as a wastewater treatment system operator, grade I, II, III, or IV. PLEASE NOTE: SOME OF THE ATTACHMENTS ARE VERY LARGE ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS AND MAY REQUIRE EXTENDED DOWNLOAD TIME.
