PDX Shuttle Buses

Flying out of Portland International Airport? Hop on a parking shuttle bus and ride to the terminal in style: the buses have easy access, sparkling interiors, and clean-burning engines running on compressed natural gas. Vehicles using this alternative fuel emit less carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide, and hydrocarbons.

Compressed natural gas was first used at the airport in 2000. Today, all PDX parking lot shuttle buses use it. Additionally, the Port has several other compressed natural gas vehicles available for staff business travel.

The Port’s air emissions inventory for PDX helps to prioritize areas where improvements can be made at and around the airport. Between the shuttle buses, bicycle paths, and Trimet’s Airport Max Red Line, travelers and employees have many options to get to and from the airport.
