PORTLAND, ORE. (Aug. 13, 2014) – Wait No Longer, The Waiting Game Opens at PDX
Measure Up, made by Sara Swink is on display at PDX on Concourse E through January 2015.

Portland International Airport introduces The Waiting Game, an exhibit that connects with passengers waiting for departing flights, on Concourse E through January 2015.

The exhibit features sculptures made by three regional artists: Andrea Schwartz-Feit, Jacqueline Hurlbert, and Sara Swink. This trifecta of artists' work represents the idiosyncrasies in relationships, all expressed in the symbolism of each figurative sculpture.

For example, Hurlbert’s work incorporates large clay feet to symbolize standing firmly against opposition. Andrea Schwartz-Feit expresses her love for the human form using wax and pigment. Sara Swink combines human and animal features, exploring the loss of the instinctual to the domesticated, with a psychological stance and humorous edge.

The art program illustrates the dynamic culture of the Northwest and showcases a variety of works through ongoing relationships with regional artists and arts organizations.

To learn more, visit Andrea Schwartz-Feit, Jacqueline Hulbert, or Sara Swink’s websites. A photo of a clay figurine made by Swink used in this exhibit is also available at, and in the PDX art exhibit photo album on the Port of Portland’s Facebook page.
