PORTLAND. August 6, 2019 – Sun Country Airlines today announces a new seasonal route from Portland International Airport (PDX) to Cabo San Lucas International Airport (SJD). This will bring Sun Country’s total nonstop offerings from Portland to nine, which includes year-round service to Las Vegas, San Francisco and Minneapolis/St. Paul, and seasonal service to Nashville, Tennessee, Honolulu, San Diego, San Antonio and St. Louis. The new roundtrip seasonal service will begin on December 18 and will be offered twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The airline first added new routes beyond its home base of Minneapolis/St. Paul in June 2018 and has experienced extensive growth over the past year. Now operating a total of 88 routes across 51 airports, Sun Country Airlines has grown its network by nearly 65 percent over the past year. In addition, the airline has added to its customer experience with in-flight entertainment, a new mobile-friendly website with more self-service tools, and new interiors on each aircraft.
