A public hearing on the budget for the Port of Portland for the fiscal year 2020-21, in the total amount of $2,707,459,575 will be held by the Multnomah County Tax Supervising and Conservation Commission at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 10, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will be held virtually. The meeting will be streamed live on the Port’s website and YouTube channel.Taxes levied will be at the Measure 50 established permanent rate of $0.0701 per $1,000 (levy amount is estimated at $14,308,664). There will be no tax levy for the Debt Service Fund in fiscal year 2020-21. The fiscal year 2019-20 tax amount certified by county tax assessors was $13,593,117, which was the total amount of taxes levied for the fiscal year 2019-20. The estimated increase in taxes levied from fiscal year 2019-20 to 2020-2021 is $715,547. Public comments and questions can be submitted via email at email@example.com.
