Notice of Public Hearing: Port of Portland’s Port Transportation Improvement Plan (PTIP)
4/1/24

An open public hearing will be held on the Port of Portland’s 2024 Port Transportation Improvement Plan (PTIP) during the regular Commission meeting on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 9:30 A.M.  The meeting will be streamed live on the Port’s website and YouTube channel.

PURPOSE OF HEARING:  The hearing will provide interested persons, groups and agencies an opportunity for public consideration of the road, rail, waterway, airport, transit, bicycle and pedestrian improvement needs to meet the transportation requirements of the Port’s marine and aviation facilities and supporting properties.  The Port of Portland Commission will be asked to approve the proposed plan at the meeting.  Incorporating any changes approved by the Commission, the final list of transportation needs will be submitted to the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) and the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), and/or other appropriate programs for funding consideration.

CONDUCT OF HEARING:  At the hearing, the Commission will hear testimony from persons wishing to present their views on the PTIP.  If you wish to provide live testimony, please send an email with your first and last name to testimony@portofportland.com and you will be provided with a link to testify via MS Teams.  The deadline to sign up for live testimony is noon on the day prior to the Port of Portland Commission Meeting.  Written testimony may also be submitted via email at testimony@portofportland.com.

AVAILABILITY OF PTIP INFORMATION:  The Port of Portland has prepared a draft proposed list of access and infrastructure projects which are the basis for coordination and funding cooperation with the private sector and other public agencies.  Background on these projects and the PTIP process is available by contacting the Port of Portland, Transportation Planning Department, P.O.  Box 3529, Portland, OR 97208, or emailing Lewis.Lem@PortofPortland.com.  A copy of the draft document will be available by April 15, 2024 on the Trade and Transportation page of the Port’s website.
