This 30-member committee is made up of residents from Portland and Vancouver. They meet quarterly to provide the Port feedback on sustainability, economic development, environmental leadership, and social responsibility.
The Port is currently working on PDX 2045, a collaborative plan for how the airport will grow over the next 20 years. Community input is critical to this process, which is why we’ve put together a 25-person committee to help the project team collect input and develop plans that benefit the people who live and work across the region.
Community organizations that support individuals with accessibility needs—including AARP and the Autism Society of Oregon—work with us to make it easier for everyone to move through PDX. This group was instrumental in recommending design choices for the main terminal, such as flooring and signage, and continues to provide input for future upgrades to physical infrastructure, assistive technologies, and airport services.
This 15-person committee is our official forum for working with the community on issues related to PDX aircraft noise. Committee representatives are from northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.
The mayors of Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington established the International Air Service Committee, which consists of business, travel industry and community leaders in the region. The committee establishes and maintains nonstop international air service between PDX and Europe, Asia, Mexico and Canada.
