In fall 2011, the Port of Portland, City of Portland, and City of Vancouver created the PDX Community Advisory Committee (PDX CAC). The creation of this inclusive regional advisory committee was a recommendation of the Airport Futures Plan District and PDX Master Plan adopted in April 2011. The 30-member PDX CAC, comprised of 20 voting members and 10 ex officio members, meets quarterly and is guided by an annual work plan developed by this body.
The mission of this ongoing advisory committee is to:
A key focus of the committee will be to work towards assuring that PDX and the Airport Plan District become the most sustainable in the world in recognition of the long-term, critical interconnection between economic development, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.
